SETTING UP THE GPS LOCATOR DO THIS FIRST
Before using the GPS Locator, to make the device operational, you will have to set the time zone to your location and
calibrate the compass.
Setting Your Time Zone
1. Press the Mode ( ) Button repeatedly until the Time ( ) Indicator appears.
2. Press and hold the Store/Set ( ) Button for three seconds. A number will begin fl ashing on the display. This indicates
that you are making changes to the time zone.
3. Press the Store/Set (
) Button to scroll through the numbered choices. See the chart below for the proper number
assigned to your time zone.
4. Once you have selected your time zone, press the Mode ( ) Button to fi nish. Your local time will now be displayed.
Time Zone Chart for the USA
Example: If you are in Miami (Eastern Standard Time Zone), the correct setting is - 5.
Standard Time Daylight Time
Eastern Time Zone - 5 - 4
Central Time Zone - 6 - 5
Mountain Time Zone - 7 - 6
Pacifi c Time Zone - 8 - 7
Alaska Time Zone - 9 - 8
Hawaii - Aleutian Time Zone - 10 - 9
