standard 2-channel stereo) and performs the proper
decoding if necessary. This mode presents the sound as
it was recorded/encoded, without adding any effects.

• The effects provided by VIRTUAL THEATER A, B, and C sound fields may cause increased noise in the playback signal.
• When listening to the “VIRTUAL” sound fields, you will not be able to hear any sounds coming directly from the rear speakers.
Selecting a Sound Field
Outputs the sound from the front left and right
speakers only. Standard two channel (stereo) sources
completely bypass the sound field processing. Multi-
channel surround formats are downmixed to two
channels.
SURROUND OFF (2ch)

only the front left and right speakers.
