sizeof load.
Improper soakingwith insufficientdetergent.Usuallya 30-minute
soak issufficient.However,when usingextendedsoaks for heavily
soiledgarmentsyou may need to usetwicethe recommendedamount
of detergent.
Useof soap in hard water.Switchto a phosphatedetergent,or follow
sixstepsdescribedabove.
Washingtoo longmay resultin increasedsoildeposition.Use shorter
washtimesfor smallerloads.
Detergentdissolvestoo slowly.Detergentmust be presentin the wash
solutionat the start of agitation. Seepage 15.

Care Labelsto determineif hot water issuitablefor garment.
@Add anon-precipitating type of water softenersuch as Calgon
withphosphate—use21X2timesas much asyou need for normal
water softening.
@Do not use detergentor soap.
@Alow clothesto go through completecycle.
@Repeat, if necessary.
If you prefer to usethe Soak Setting,seepage8. Usethe water
softener in placeof soak agent or prewash detergentand allow
clothesto soak for about 20minutes.
