
• Memory
– The Dell Latitude X300 base configuration includes 128MB of PC2100 DDR SDRAM, on board, operating at
266MHz. The system supports up to 1152MB of memory through one SO-DIMM slot for memory modules.
Memory expansion can also be accomplished after purchase through the user access door with 128MB,
256MB, 512MB, or 1024MB modules.
• Hard Disk Drives
– The Dell Latitude X300 offers EIDE hard drives available in 9.5mm form factors. The entry-level capacity is
20.0GB with a 30.0GB , 40.0GB, and 60.0GB drives available as optional upgrades. All hard disk drives are
high performance ATA-100 format. The architecture supports both ATA-66 and ATA-100 so customers may
also use previous generation ATA-66 drives if desired.
• IEEE 1394 (“FireWire” or i.LINK®) Connector
– The Latitude X300 includes an integrated four pin unpowered IEEE 1394 port which provides hot-pluggable
ultra-fast data transfer between external devices. The IEEE 1394 port provides data transfer rate of up to
400Mb/s and allows connection to advanced IEEE 1394, FireWire, and i.LINK® devices such as digital video
cameras, powered external hard drives and scanners.
• Integrated Modem
– The Dell Latitude X300 features an integrated 56K v.92 capablemodem for convenience while traveling. The
modem supports Wake-on-Ring for unattended telephony, fax access and remote systems management.
– The RJ-11 port is located on the left side of the notebook.
