4. Web-based Management Operation
This chapter instructs you how to configure and manage the switch through the Web user interface it supports. You can
access and monitor the switch’s status, including port activity, spanning tree status, port aggregation status, VLAN, and
priority status and so on from any one port on the switch.
The default values of the managed switch are listed in the table below:
IP Address: 192.168.2.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.2.254
Password: admin
Type http://192.168.2.1
in the address row in a browser. It will show the following screen (Figure 4-1) and ask you to input
the ID and password to login and access authentication. The default ID and password are both “admin.” The first time you
login, please enter the default ID and password, then click the <OK> button. The login process now is completed.
