YourVS2000XRoffersthe convenienceof automaticallylockingandunlockingyour
car'sdoorsandflashingthe lights~hen the car is armedanddisarmed. This may require

This manualassumesyou are usingthe powerdoor lockcontrolandflashing light
featuresof your
VS2000XR.Ifyou decidenotto usethesefeatures,just disregardany
referencesto them. .
ARMING THE VS2000XR
If active arming is selected,thealarmwill arminstantlyafter pressingthe transmitter's
button#1. A .CHIRp. will behear~,the parkinglightswill flash onceandthe car doors
will lockto signifythat the alarp1,is'armed.
If passive arming is selected;ithe;alarmwill automaticallyarm itselfand lockthe car
doors 15secondsafterall doors:~reclosed. A .CHIRp. will beheardandthe parking
lightswill flash onceafterthe I.astdooris closed,to confirmthat alarmis arming. During
thedelayperiodof 15seconds,youcantemporarilystopthearmingofVS2000XR simply
byopeninga door. This letsyou're~enterthecarwithouthavingto firstdisarmthe alarm.
Whenfinished,closethe dO?r:a~~itheal~r.mwill r:c°rT1menceClrming.
In either
case, if youdo nothea/a:chi'rpor seetheflashingof the parkinglights,thealarm
is informingyouthat a doorhas notbeenqlosedproperlyandthereforethe alarmwon't

DISARMING THE VS2000XR ;.:'.~

If passive arming is selected;!firstpressth~transQ1itter'sbutton#J (thealarmwillchirp
twice,parkinglights willflash t~,i;?~andth~cardoorswill unlock). Then,opena door
within 15seconds(If adoor is;!,lOt;openedwithin 15seconds,the alarmwill rearmitself).
Finally,turnONthe ignitionkey1pjstoprearming. ThisVS2000XR's patented3-step
disarmingprocesspreventsa:~ci~~ntaldisarming.

If activearming is used,youcar}phooseAutorearmor Permanentdisarmmode.
In auto rearm mode, the alarmwillrearmitself unlessa dooris openedwithin 15
secondsafter pressingthe trans'mitter'sbutton#1. In Permanent disarm mode, pressing
the transmitter'sbutton#1 will'di~~rmthe alarmpermanently. In eithermode,two chirps
will be heard,twoflashingparking lightswill be seenandthecar doorswill unlockafter
pressingthe transmitter'sbuttoh#..~.
