IMPREZA WRX
WRX
In the 18 years since Subaru fi rst entered the World Rally Championships, it has remained
a dominant force in the series, boasting numerous championships. The knowledge, analysis
and passion derived from these experiences go into the development of every Subaru. Racing
is in our blood. Winning is part of our DNA.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM
Just a few taps on the high-resolution touch-screen of the
available GPS navigation system and you’ll have a co-pilot
across town or across the country. When not in use, you
can get information on your fuel economy, check main-
tenance reminders, and use a calendar and calculator. It
even controls some vehicle settings.
SUSPENSION
A new double-wishbone rear suspension intimately ties
the WRX to the asphalt. A lengthened wheelbase allows
for a more intelligently confi gured interior and a smoother,
more buttoned-down ride quality. The WRX also comes
standard with 17-inch 10-spoke aluminum wheels.
TURBOCHARGED
The force-fed induction engine delivers 224-horsepower
and 226 lb.-ft. of peak torque that you can access at a
low 2,800 rpm, giving you power across the rev band. And
thanks to a new intercooler and turbocharger, it’s 50 lbs.
lighter than last year’s car.
TRAINED AROUND THE GLOBE. MASTER OF THE STREET.
Four wheels, driven by desire. Long before the fi rst Subaru Impreza WRX laid tracks on American
tarmac, a devoted U.S. fan base was following its victorious adventures around the globe. In World
Rally Championships. In the tuner world of the street. It is the turbocharged, all-wheel-drive icon.
And now, we introduce the all-new action-packed 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX. Available in 5-door
or 4. An all-new rear suspension to make you one with the road. Performance-design front seats to
hold you in while you do it. Reshaped, yes. Reformed, never. Master of the street… remastered.

VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)
The standard electronic stability control system helps
keep you on your intended path by measuring variables
such as steering input, braking and vehicle angle. Sensing
any slide that causes the vehicle to deviate from your
intended course, VDC applies individual brakes and/or
reduces engine power to counteract the slide and help
keep you safely in control. In conjunction with Brake Assist
and Incline Start Assist, it gives you the uncompromising
safety that you can expect from Subaru.
