MUSIC PLAYBACK FUNCTION
This unit is capable of playing back MP3 fi les stored on SD memory
cards.
Storing MP3 fi les onto SD memory cards
On your computer, you must fi rst convert the music from an audio CD
into MP3 fi les, then save them onto the SD memory card.
All the fi les need to be stored under the MP3 directory, and the fi le
format needs to be “*.mp3”.
To copy fi les to a SD card you must have a SD card reader / writer.
Then you can transfer the fi les to the SD card as you usually do from
one folder to other. It is recommended that you save music, videos, and
photographs in easily recognizable folders.
Once the desired fi les have been copied to the SD/MMC card, you will
need to remove the SD card from the reader. In order to do this, make
sure to press the remove hardware button on your computer and select
to remove the card reader device. The computer will display the
message “It is safe to remove hardware” and you will now be able to
remove the SD card from the reader.
It is necessary that you store music in a different SD card. Do not
use the supplied SD card (which contains the navigation maps).
