2. The INTERNAL BATTERY CHARGING LED and the LED on
the starter’s male plug should illuminate red. If these LEDs
do not light, turn the car ignition key to the Accessory (ACC)
position. If the LEDs still do not light, check for a faulty fuse
in the male plug or in the vehicle’s fuse panel. Replace with
the same size and amp rating.
3. Depress the CHARGE CAR BATTERY button to begin the
charging cycle. The CAR BATTERY CHARGING LED will il-
luminate red and the INTERNAL BATTERY CHARGING LED
will turn off. If the radio, fan, interior lights or headlights come
on, TURN THEM OFF IMMEDIATELY.
4. Charge for at least 10 minutes, or until the green LED lights,
before trying to start the car. Attempt to start the car but if the
car only clicks or turns over slowly, continue to charge the car
until the CAR BATTERY CHARGING LED illuminates green
or a total charging time of 20 minutes has been reached. At
this time attempt a second car start.
5. When the car starts, press the CHARGE CAR BATTERY
switch to the OFF position (button up).
6. Disconnect the male plug from the vehicle’s 12V DC accessory
outlet.
7. Recharge the Emergency Car Starter as soon as possible.
