Q How do I turn on/off the unit?
A: The receiver turns on automatically when you start the GPS feature in the StreetFinder for the
Palm Organizer software. The receiver turns off when you tap the Stop GPS button. It will
also shut off automatically after a 90-second delay under these circumstances: you exit the
StreetFinder® application, you turn off the Palm™ connected organizer, or you detach the
organizer from the GPS receiver.
Q: Does the car lighter adapter power the Palm Pilot?
A: No, it only powers and charges the GPS unit.
Q: (Palm III receiver only How long will the receiver’s charge last?
A: When fully charged, the Lithium-Ion battery operates 4-6 hours.
Q: (Palm V receiver only How long will the batteries last?
A: Fresh alkaline batteries will last 8-10 hours.
Q: Will your Palm III GPS unit work with other software programs for the Palm?
A: Yes, it will work with any GPS program that supports the NMEA standard.
Q: (Palm V receiver only) What is that button for on the front of the GPS receiver?
A: This button may be needed to turn on the GPS receiver if you are using the receiver with
other software applications. You do not need to use it with StreetFinder for the Palm
Organizer.
