Radio Shack 660R Motorized Toy Car User Manual

Limited 90-Day Warranty
Care & Use
Running your vehicle continuously for long periods can generate a high heat level. Heat causes wear and tear on the motor. Let
the vehicle cool for at least 10 minutes before installing new batteries.
If your vehicle moves slowly or not at all, replace the batteries. You may purchase batteries from your local RadioShack store.
Do not touch the motor immediately after use; the motor gets very hot.
The transmitter automatically shuts off to prolong battery life, if you keep the left control lever in one position for more than 40
seconds. If this happens, move the left control lever to another position to continue driving.
If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with the control of the vehicle. If this happens, move the vehicle and transmitter
away from the CB. You cannot operate your vehicle near devices with transmitters that use the same frequency as your vehicle.
Check your box to see which frequency you have.
If the vehicle gets stuck under an object, immediately turn the transmitter off and retrieve the vehicle.
Be sure the transmitter is not out of the vehicle’s range. Buildings, fences and other obstructions between the transmitter and
vehicle can reduce your operating range.
If the vehicle moves slowly after you have installed new batteries, check the wheels for lint, thread, dust and hair.
To extend the battery life, let the vehicle rest for 20 minutes after every 15 minutes of continuous use.
When the transmitter’s LED flashes, the battery is weak. Replace its battery.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size
and recommended type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different
types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or
rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
If you do not plan to use the vehicle for sev-
eral days, remove the batteries from the
transmitter and vehicle. Batteries can leak
chemicals that may destroy electronic parts.
Dispose of old batteries promptly and prop-
erly. Do not burn or bury them.
Do not play with your vehicle in the street.
Do not run your vehicle through puddles, rain, dirt, or snow.
Keep the vehicle dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Handle the vehicle carefully. Do not drop it.
Keep the vehicle away from dust and dirt.
Store the vehicle in room temperature environments only.
Wipe the vehicle occasionally with a damp cloth to keep it looking new.
Do not immerse it in water.
If your vehicle does not perform as it should, take it to your local
RadioShack store for assistance. Modifying or tampering with your vehi-
cle’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate
its warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate it.
