Throttle Lever
Engine speed and vehicle
movement are controlled by
pressing the throttle lever.
The throttle lever (1) is spring
loaded. E ngine speed returns
to idle when the lever is
released.
This ATV is equipped with
Polaris Electronic Throttle Control
(ETC), which is designed to reduce the risk of a
frozen or stuck throttle. If the throttle cable should stick in an open
position when the operator releases the throttle lever, the engine will
stop, an d power to the rear wheels w ill cease.
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) stops the engine in the
event of a throttle system malfunction and is provided for your
safety. Do not attempt to modify the ETC system or replace it
with any after m arket throttle mechanisms.
WARNING
Do not start or operate an ATV with sticking or im properly
operating throttle controls, which could cause an accident and
lead to severe injury or death.
Always contact your dealer for service repairs if throttle problems
arise.
Failure to check or maintain proper operation of the throttle
system can result in an a ccident if the throttle lever sticks during
operation.
Always check the lever for free movement and r eturn before
starting the engine. Also check occasionally during operation.
