Transmission Oil
Always check and change the transmission oil at the intervals outlined
in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 61. Maintain the
oil level between 1/4 and 3/4 on the sight glass. We recommend the
use of Premium AGL Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant. Refer to the
gearcase specifications chart on page 70. See page 99 for the part
numbers of Polaris products.
Oil Check
1. Position the vehicle
on a level surface.
2. View the oil level
through the sight
glass (1).
3. Remove the fill
plug (2) and add the
recommended oil as
needed.
4. Reinstall the fill plug.
Oil Change
The t ransmission drain plug is located on the bottom of the vehicle
near the center.
1. Remove the fill plug.
2. Remove the transmission drain plug. Drain the oil into an
appropriate container. Discard used oil properly.
3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to specification.
4. Add the recommended fluid.
5. Reinstall the fill plug.
6. Check for leaks.
