Driving Downhill
Whenever descending a hill, follow these
precautions:
1. Drive directly downhill.
2. Transfer your weight to the rear of the
vehicle.
3. Slow down.
4. Shift to the lowest gear possible while
maintaining a safe speed.
5. Apply the foot brake slightly to aid in
slowing.
WARNING
Excessive speed can cause loss of control and lead to serious injury or death. Always operate
slowly when traveling downhill.
