Handlebar Adjustments
Use the following steps to adjust handlebar angle at the handlebar block.
1. Remove the mountain bar.
2. Remove the handlebar cover.
3. Using a 7/16" wrench, loosen
the four nuts on the bottom of
the adjuster block. Turn the
handlebar to the left or right for
access to the back nuts. If nec-
essary, pry the blocks apart
with a screwdriver.
4. Adjust the handlebar to the
desired height.
5. Be sure the handlebar, brake
lever and throttle lever operate
smoothly and do not hit the gas
tank, windshield or any other
part of the machine when
turned fully to the left or right.
If necessary, loosen the set
screws for the left and right
controls, rotate the controls
slightly, then tighten the set
screws to the proper torque.
NOTICE: Do not stretch wires while adjusting the controls. Stretching the wires
could damage the handwarmers.
Right control torque: 35 in. lbs. (3.95 Nm) +/- 10%.
Left control torque: 24 in. lbs. (2.7 Nm) +/- 10%.
6. Torque the front bolts first, then torque the rear bolts. Torque the
bolts to 15-17 ft. lbs. (20-23 Nm).
7. Reinstall the handlebar cover.
8. Reinstall the mountain bar.
