Storage Tips
Inspect and Lubricate
Inspect all cables and lubricate all areas of the vehicle as recommended
in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 49.
Battery Storage
See pages 88-89 for storage and charging procedures.
Storage Area/Covers
Set the tire pressure and safely support the vehicle with the tires slightly
off the ground. Be sure the storage area is well ventilated. Cover the
vehicle with a genuine Polaris cover. Do not use plastic or coated mate-
rials. They do not allow enough ventilation to prevent condensation, and
may promote corrosion and oxidation.
Transporting the Vehicle
Follow these procedures when trans-
porting the vehicle.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Place the transmission in gear.
3. Lock the parking brake.
4. Turn the fuel valve off.
5. Secure the fuel cap, oil cap and
seat.
6. Remove the key to prevent loss
during transporting.
7. Always tie the frame of the vehicle
to the transporting unit securely
with suitable straps or rope. Do not
attach tie straps to the front A-arm
bolt pockets, racks or handlebars.
