INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STILLEN HI-FLOW INTAKE
95-97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo / Eagle Talon Turbo
P/N 402880
Materials supplied:
1. (1) K&N filter
2. (1) Hi-Flow adapter
3. (1) Bracket, support
4. (7) Bolts (6 x 1.0 x 25mm)
5. (7) Flat washers 6mm
6. (7) Lock washers 6mm
Equipment needed:
1. Assorted sockets and wrenches
2. +,- Screwdriver
3. Assorted pliers
4. Factory service manual

YOU REFER THIS INSTALLATION TO YOUR MECHANIC.
WARNING!!! – DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START VEHICLE WITH MASS AIR SENSOR DISCONNECTED, FAILURE TO FOLLOW
WARNING WILL RESULT IN FUTURE DIAGNOSTIC REPAIRS.
Note: The 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon uses three bolts at the base of the Hi-Flow support bracket. The 1996-97
models have the same support bracket but use only two of the three bolts.
Installation:
1. Remove or disconnect the following:
a. Mass air flow sensor
i. Loosen hose clamp at the rear of the sensor.
ii. Disconnect the harness from the airflow sensor.
b. Note: Once the MAS connector is disconnected, do not start the vehicle, Check Engine Light will go on and will need
to be reset by a dealer!!!
c. Upper filter housing
i. Loosen clips securing the top of the housing
d. Air filter
2. Remove the airflow sensor from the upper housing.
a. Loosen four screws that hold the sensor to the upper housing.
b. Note any brackets attached to the sensor, as they will be used with the Stillen Hi-Flow system.
3. Remove the lower air filter housing from the vehicle. The housing is typically held in place with bolts through the bottom of the
housing and is threaded through the body frame.
4. Assemble the Hi-Flow adapter and the air flow sensor.
a. The airflow sensor attaches to the adapter in much the same way that the sensor was attached to the upper housing.
b. The support bracket is attached to the airflow sensor at the lower two bolts for the Hi-Flow adapter.
