AV Input
The Magellan RoadMate has an AV input that enables the receiver
to be connected to the Magellan Backup Camera (sold
separately). The AV input can also play audio and video when
connected to a camera, DVD player or any device that has an AV
output. To connect to a camera or DVD player an AV cable (not
included) is required with a 3.5mm TRRS connector. To tell if you
have a TRRS connector, look at the barrel end of the connector
and see if it has four ‘rings’. If it does, it probably will be able to
play through the Magellan RoadMate. Please note that when connecting an external device to the Magellan
RoadMate through the AV connector, the navigation function of the Magellan RoadMate is disabled.
Map Micro SD
Map updates and possible map expansion packs may be sold from the Magellan Store that will be available on
micro SD cards for use in the Magellan RoadMate. Instructions for using the micro SD card will be provided at
time of purchase.
