HEADLAMP CONTROL
Turning theheadlampcontrol
clockwiseto thefirst position
turnson theparking lamps,
instrumentpanellamps,
licenseplate lampsand the
taillamps. Continuingto turn
theheadlamp controlto
thesecond positionturns on
theheadlamps.
Touse theautolamp light-
sensitive,automaticon-off
controlfor theheadlamps,
turnthe headlampcontrol
counterclockwise. Ifthe
windshieldwipersare turned
onfor afixed periodoftime,
theexterior lampswill turnon
withthe headlampcontrol in
theautolamp position.
Toturn autolampsoff, turn
thecontrol clockwiseto the
OFFposition.
Toactivate thehigh beams,
simplypush theturn signal
levertoward theinstrument
panel.Pull thelever toward
youto deactivatehigh
beams.Use thesame lever
toactivate the“Flash toPass”
feature.Pull thelever toward
youto slightlyactivate and
releaseit todeactivate.

PANEL DIMMER
Usethis controlto adjustthe
brightnessof theinstrument
paneland allapplicable
switchesin thevehicle during
headlampand parkinglamp
operation.Move thecontrol
tothe fullupright position,
pastthe detent,to turnon
theinterior lamps.

FOGLAMP CONTROL
(IFEQUIPPED)
Withthe ignitionon,the
foglampscan beturned on
whenthe headlampcontrol
isin theparking lamp,
headlampor autolamp
position,and thehigh beams
arenot on.Simply pullthe
headlampcontrol towardyou
toturn onthe foglamps.The
foglampindicator lightwill
illuminate.The foglampswill
notoperate whenthe high
beamsare activated.

WINDSHIELD WIPER /
WASHER
Themultifunctionlever
controlsthe windshieldwiper
modes,speeds andthe
windshieldwasher.Rotate
theend ofthe controlaway
fromyou toincrease the
speedof thewipers. Rotate
thecontrol towardsyou to
decrease the speed of
thewipers.
Forwindshieldwasher
control,push theend ofthe
stalkbriefly tocause asingle
swipeof thewiper.Witha
quickpush andhold, the
wiperswill swipethree times
withwasher fluid.With along
pushand hold,the wipers
andwasher fluidwill activate
forup toten seconds.
SPEED CONTROL
Foryourspeed controlto
work,you mustpress and
releasethe ONbutton.
Pressingand releasingthe
OFFbutton disengagesthe
systemand turnsit off.Toset
aspeed, pressthe ON
button,accelerateto the
desiredspeed,pressthe
SET+button,thentake your
footoff theaccelerator pedal.
Youcan increaseyour speed
bypressing andreleasing the
SET+button untilyou reach
thedesired speed,increasing
speedby 1mph (1.6 km/h)
witheach tap.You can
decreasespeedin thesame
wayusing theSET-button.
Pressingthe RSM(resume)
buttonwill automatically
returnthe vehicleto the
previouslysetspeed. To
disengagethe speedcontrol,
pressthe OFFor CNCL
buttonor depressthe
brakepedal.

Withthe ignitionintheON
position,the messagecenter
displaysimportantvehicle
informationby constantly
monitoringvehiclesystems.
Youmay selectdisplay
featureson themessage
centerfor adisplay ofstatus.

TILT STEERING
COLUMN
Toadjust thesteering wheel,
pushthe adjustmentlever
downto unlockthe steering
column.While thelever is
down,tilt thesteering column
toyour desiredposition.
Then,while holdingthe
steeringcolumn inplace,
pullthe leverup toitsoriginal
positionto lockthe steering
column.Do notadjust
whiledriving.

SERVICE ENGINE SOON
Theservice enginesoon
indicatorlamp illuminates
whenthe ignitionis first
turnedto theON positionto
checkthe bulb.If thelight
turnssolid orblinks, theOn
BoardDiagnostics System
hasdetecteda malfunction.
Drivein amoderate fashion
(avoidheavy accelerationor
deceleration)andhave your
vehicleserviced immediately.

ABS WARNING LAMP
Inan emergency, apply
continuousforceto thebrake
pedal.Do notpump the
brakes.Any pulsationor
mechanicalnoise youmay
feelor hearis normal.Ifthe
lampdoesn’t illuminateor
stayson, haveyour vehicle
serviced. Normalbraking
isstill functionalunless
thebrake warninglamp is
alsoilluminated.

SHUT-OFF SWITCH
Thisdevicestopstheelectric
fuelpumpfromsendingfuel
totheenginewhenyour
vehiclehashadasubstantial
jolt.Afteranaccident,ifthe
enginecranksbutdoesnot
start,thisswitchmayhave
beenactivated.Thefuelpump
shut-offswitchislocatedin
thefrontpassengerfootwell
areaintherightupper corner.
HOOD RELEASE
Toopen thehood, pullthe
hoodrelease handleunder
thebottom ofthe instrument
panelnear thesteering
column.Go tothe frontofthe
vehicleand releasethe
auxiliary latchlocated under
thefront centerof thehood.
Usethe proprod tosupport
theraised hood.Lift theprop
rodby thesleeve, notthe
baremetal.
UNLEADED FUEL
RECOMMENDATIONS
Foroptimumperformance,
use“Regular” unleadedfuel
witha pump(R+M)/2 octane
ratingof atleast 87.We do
notrecommend theuse of
gasolineslabeledas
“Regular”with octaneratings
of86 orlower thataresold in
highaltitude areas.
TIRE PRESSURE
