1. Raise and support vehicle at least 16” off of the ground.
2. Remove any existing exhaust manifold and or pipes that will interfere with the installation of the headers.
3. On some vehicles, it may be necessary to remove the steering shaft. Mark its orientation to the connector at the steering box,
remove clamp bolt, and slide shaft off of the steering box input shaft.
4. Install the headers on to the engine using the supplied gaskets, bolts, and washers. Install all the header bolts in the header
before tightening them. Removal of the starter will make header installation easier in some applications.
5. If the steering shaft was removed, install the shaft on to the steering box making sure to align the marks made in step 3.
6. Install supplied donut on to the collector outlet of the header.

sensor bungs are supplied in systems #65063 & #65073. They should be placed according to the recommendations of the
EFI system or AFR metering device you are using, but are not generally required for carbureted applications.
Note: Edelbrock Header-Back Exhaust Systems are designed to bolt directly to the collector of these headers.
