2. Pull bumper forward and remove three tow hook bolts.
The tow hook or bolts will not be reused.
3. Remove tin cover shield if equipped (99 Models).
4. Insert correct side pull pod on side where bumper bolts
were removed. Put two 1/2 x 1-3/4 bolts through out
side edge of pod. In the back where bottom bolt comes
through, use 1/2 flat washer, 1/2 lock washer, and
1/2 hex nut. Before tightening bolt, lift bumper up and
center top bolt in middle of slot while holding pull pod
straight. Put 1/2 flat washer, 1/2 lock washer, and
1/2 hex nut on top bolt and tighten. NOTE: We
recommend using Blue on all bolts
5. Using pull pod as template, drill 1/2 holes on inside
holes of pull pod through bumper. Install 1/2 x 1-3/4
bolts, 1/2 flat washers, 1/2 lock washers, and 1/2
hex nuts and tighten.
6b. On some models, pull bumper cover back to gain
access to rear pull pod bolt, or notch out bumper
cover according to picture to install bolt.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 for other side.

6a. Install bent nut strip through hole in frame and line up
with rear hole used for tow hook. Install 1/2 x 2 bolt
and 1/2 lock washer and tighten.
