Safety Notice: Sales Hold
Briggs & Stratton Company has notified Ariens Company of a potential engine safety concern on certain
920014 Ariens Sno-Thro models with serial numbers 100,000 through 119,039.
Briggs & Stratton has released the attached Service Notice SN-1003
which provides instructions for inspec-
tion, service and submitting a warranty claim.
Because this is a safety issue, Ariens Company is issuing a "Stop Sale" order for any 920014 Sno-Thro with
a serial number over 100,000 that has a Briggs & Stratton 13D137 0110 F1 engine within serial number
range 1205300000000 – 1207169999999 until inspection and required service are complete.
920014 models with Briggs & Stratton engines outside this engine serial number range are not affected.
Please take immediate steps to inspect and service as required before retailing any of these units.
