Basic Operation
Warning Mode and
Pre-Warn Mode
The Warning/Pre-Warn modes control the
type of coverage provided by the radar
(optional) and impact sensors.
When the Warning Mode is ON, the radar
sensor protects two sectors, one inside the
vehicle and one outside the vehicle. When
the Pre-warn mode is ON, the impact sensor
will provide two levels of impact protection,
giving a warning when a light impact is
placed on the vehicle and entering a full
alarming state when a heavy impact is
detected. When the Warning/Pre-warn Mode
is OFF, the radar sensor will only protect the
sector inside the vehicle while the impact
sensor will respond only to heavy blows to
the body of the vehicle.
CAUTION: DO NOT PRESS THE TX AND
EXT1 BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY
WHEN THE SYSTEM IS IN THE VALET
MODE. PRESSING BOTH BUTTONS
WHEN THE SYSTEM IS IN VALET WILL
CAUSE THE SYSTEM TO ENTER THE
RADAR/IMPACT SENSOR, SENSITIVITY
ADJUSTMENT MODE. IF THE SYSTEM
ENTERS THIS MODE, PRESS AND
RELEASE THE TX AND EXT1 BUTTONS
SIMULTANEOUSLY TO EXIT THIS MODE
AND RETURN TO A DISARM STATE.
