auto-on and auto-off feature

Auto-On is a default feature of the printer. The printer automatically turns on when you
print a file.
enabling auto-off
Enable the auto-off feature to place the printer in a low-power, energy-efficient mode
after it has been idle for 30 minutes.
Instructions for enabling the auto-off feature vary depending on how the printer was
installed on your computer.
To view the correct instructions, answer the following question:
Does this icon appear on your computer's desktop?
● Yes (use printer assistant)
● No (use printer properties)
accessing auto-off from the printer assistant
1. Click configure printer .
2. Click the Configure button.
The HP Deskjet Toolbox screen appears.
3. Select the Configuration tab.
4. Select Activate the Hardware Auto-off feature to turn on the feature.
—or—
De-select Activate the Hardware Auto-off feature to turn off the feature.
5. Click Apply .
