0 Changing fuel pump on my Alero. Was told I can do this through an access panel under the back seat. Took out the back seat and looks like there is an access panel, but it is covered by what looks like dried hard foam. Need to know that I can actually change the pump out through this panel. I only have a couple days to get this done. If you have a manual could you just email me the manual? My email is RebeccaOKC@hotmail.com. Thank you for ANY help.

0 Don't Know Rebecca, But I would like to also. Did you ever find anything out. Is there really a access panel? Sure would be nice, as I have a full tank of gas and a broken floor jack. Mine is a 2002 Alero. Car is not at home here tonight, it's a few miles in town where it broke down, but I took out the back seat (bottom part) and see what you mean about the "dried hard foam"

0 Well, mine did not end up having an access panel, but I got lucky. a friend crawled under mine and said the pump is fine and even though it was showing gas still in it by the guage, it was too low to start the car, so all I needed was gas thank God!!!
