My Navigon turns on and stays on the same screen. ...

My Navigon turns on and stays on the same screen. I have tried to update the maps through Fresh Maps by connecting the Navigon to my computer but it keeps failing. The computer screen says there is no Navigon software available. Has my Navigon worn out?
