5 What you see shining is the check engine light. All the cars, not just the mazda have the same lights to avoid confusion. The most common causes for the light to shine. You need to change your oxygen sensor, you have to replace the catalytic convertor, replace mass airflow sensor or it can just be as simple as changing the spark plugs or checking if you closed the gas tank cap. But please don't ignore the light especially on a mazda because this company really makes great cars. Get your car checked at your local machanic, he will fix it up for you in no time!
