Applying park brake on my 2007 model Range Rover Sport HSE, causes some horrible noise and an eventual lock down of the wheels with the RED park brake light flashing continuously and the amber color brake light ON permanently. Releasing the park brake switch, no effect as vehicle is difficult to move. Is it a relay problem or is there a solenoid valve somewhere?

5 This is a common issue with the 2006-2010 models after about 50,000 miles. It is caused by water corrosion. You will need to replace the actuator and emergency brake pads. And just to be safe, have the parking brake cable adjusted. Sometimes they are thrown out of adjustment when this issue occurs.
