I have a 1991 Cherokee Laredo. It,s running hot sometimes. I think it needs a new engine coolant temperature switch? Where is it located, I think I know just want to make sure. I have to pick the part up tomorrow morning. I am the original owner, with 133,000 miles on it.

5 Ok so I am an advanced automotive technician and jeeps around 1991 weren't made the best but an engine with 133k miles shouldn't need to be replaced depending on how you treated it and if you did regular oil changes and maintenance. One problem might be it needs a new radiator and pump. The switch may be part of the problem as well but it's hard to say. Best this to do it to take it to a trusted mechanic because a lot of times mechanics find other "problems" that aren't actually a problem at all but instead they just rip you off. So take it to the mechanic and ask him about the radiator and pump to see how they are functioning and then go from there. Hope this helps! -Scott
