My Window winders were not working the internal part that locked and made the windows go up and down was made from Zinc and not very durable I priced replacement winders about $100 AU each I needed 3 I made 3 replacement parts for $3 AU I measured the internal part and obtained washers of the same diameter and sodered them together and cut a large nitch to fit the spring ends and soldered the washers to the winder spindle I have now been using the widers for 2 Years and no more trouble
