0 Switch is used with Hyundai's Electronically controlled dual-range 4 speed automatic transaxle. Economy mode offers quiet & smooth auto shifting w/outstanding fuel economy & is recommended for normal driving. Normal mode is used for maximum acceleration and driveability & recommended for higher speeds than Economy, mountains & strong acceleration.
