3 146 is the part number of the key FOB, not the alarm. I'm assuming this is your alarm: OPERATION MANUAL for Excalibur AL-1000-EDP: http://www.caralarm.com/manuals/Excalibur/AL-1000-edp.pdf See page 13 for silent arming/disarming.
