I ran out of gas and now I can't start my car. Does my car have a carburetor or is it fuel injected or both?

5 Fuel injected, change the fuel filter. When you go to start the car. Turn the ignition just enough, right before the engine turns over. Go under the hood, and look for the gas line going into the top of the engine. It will have a valve like on a tire. Take cap off and push in the middle valve to see if gas is getting to the engine. It should spray out. If not the fuel pump has gone out.
