Question About Code Alarm Remote Starter CATX-50

My son bought this for me a few years ago, i love it. Only lately the red light on the transmitter has been staying on and when that happens i cannot do anything. It will not start my car or unlock it and i can't even unlock my car with my car key. I have replaced the batteries and it worked fine for a few days now the same thing is happening.
