My new code alarm does not chirp of make a sound whenever I press the lock or unlock buttons. I want the alarm to chirp so I will know when I engage or disengage the lock without looking at the flashing lights.

0 1- turn the ignition switch ON/OFF 3 times and stay in OFF position after the last 2 Push the valet switch 2 times and holding in on 2nd push until one chirp with one long chirp is heard then releases the valet switch 3 Press and release the lock botton from the transmitter (remote) and it will chip one 4 Now your car alarm is in chirp mode, wait for 15 seconds and then you'll hear 3 long chirp to confirm the programs is done.
