yesterday i was stranded because the 99 cavalier wouldn't start. so i tried bi-passing the starter selonoid and she started. diagnosis starter selonoid was bad. when we get home i turn the car off in the drive way and then try to turn it back over, all the light indicators come on then go off along with all the noises that are supposed to come on when you start a car. now the cavalier is acting completely dead with no power getting to the new starter and selonide i just put in. did i burn up a relay i can't find or what? all the fuses seem good.

0 we havn't had this car too long so the previous own crossthreaded the terminal into the batt. a half turn. enough to hold it in there and keep it starting for a little while. from the excessive arching i was not longer getting a good conection. replaced the batt. and the terminal and she starts like a dream with the new starter.
