5 Annie, Sometimes these remotes can lose programming especially if power to unit in vehicle is interrupted. For example if you had a dead or replaced battery in the vehicle. So if you have the manual try and reprogram the remote to the vehicle, or go to a local car audio professional and have them reprogram the remote.
