I own a 1994 Mercury Sable. It came with an Automate alarm. The battery in the alarm remote was dead. For the past 2 years I have been using the keys in the normal fashion, wih no alarm. Todat I had to disconnect the cars batery, to work on it. When I rehooked the cables, the alarm went off. I am able to shut it off by turning the ingnition on, and hitting the reset button. Problem is, the alarm resets when I open and close the door. How can I disarm the alarm as before?
