Question About Audiovox Automobile Alarm PRO 9845B

Installing on a 2010 mazda3, Can not ge the remote tolock and unlock. Can get it to lock, hook it up opposite and unlock but will not do both.Do I need the "4 and 5 Wire Reverse Polarity kit?
