Question About Acumen Remote Starter FDC-502
Just moved into a house with Kingsman Direct Vent ...

Just moved into a house with Kingsman Direct Vent Gas Fireplace with wall switch as well as wireless remote. The remote has an on button as well as an off button and temperature window. We put new batteries in remote, however we can't get it to work and the manual we looked up on line is a different looking remote with 2 buttons and a slide. Is there another switch on the fireplace that has to be activated? Any help would be appreciated.

0 There is also a receiver located in the space below the fireplace. The lower grill should be hinged and fold down for access. The receiver takes 4 AA batteries and they need to be changed every year. The receiver should have a "OFF / REMOTE / ON" switch. You can manually toggle on/off if the remote isn't working.
