Main Menu with Transparency command selected.
To adjust Menu Transparency level:
Press
MENU|MENU|↓ to TRANSPARENCY |ENT. The TRANSPARENCY slider
bar appears. Press
↑ or ↓ to move the bar. The lower end of the scale
makes the menus opaque. The upper end is maximum transparency.
Units of Measure
This menu sets the speed and distance (statute or nautical miles, me-
ters), depth (feet, fathoms, or meters), temperature (degrees Fahrenheit
or Celsius) and heading (true or magnetic) units. To change units:
Press
MENU|MENU|↓ to SYSTEM SETUP|ENT|ENT.

NOTE
The Units of Measure menus in the GlobalMap 5500C and 4900M
are different. The Speed and Distance and Depth categories are at
the top of the 5500C menu. They are at the bottom of the 4900M
menu (See above illustration).
