Push the hand brake to the handlebar and check free travel .
Free travel of hand brake lever 3 mm ( 0.12 in)
» If the free travel does not meet specifications:
Adjust the free travel of the hand brake lever. ( p. 57)

Check the free travel of the hand brake lever. ( p. 56)
Adjust the free travel of the hand brake lever with adjusting screw .
Info
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to reduce free travel. The pressure
point moves away from the handlebar.
Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to increase free travel. The
pressure point moves towards the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.
Turn the adjusting screw by hand only, and do not apply any force.
Do not make any adjustments while riding!
9.54Checking the brake fluid level of the front brake
Warning
Danger of accidentsFailure of the brake system.
If the brake fluid level falls below the MIN mark, this indicates a leakage in the brake system or worn-out brake linings.
Check the brake system and do not continue riding. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be glad to help.)

Change the brake fluid of the front and rear brakes according to the service schedule. (Your authorized KTM workshop will

Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.
Check the brake fluid level in viewer .
» If the brake fluid is below the MIN mark:
Top up the brake fluid of the front brake. x ( p. 57)

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep out of the reach of children.
Wear suitable protective clothing and goggles.
If brake fluid gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and contact a doctor immediately.
