Lighting System
Insert the new bulb [A] by aligning its upper and lower pins
[B] with the upper and lower grooves [C] in the socket, and
turn the bulb clockwise.
CAUTIO
N
The front turn signal/running position lights use
a vibration resistant bulb. Replacement of the
front turn signal/running position bulbs with a
non-vibration resistant bulb may result in prema-
ture bulb failure.
Turn Signal Relay Inspection
Remove:
Seats (see Frame chapter)
Upper Seat C over (see Frame chapter)
Turn Signal Relay [A]
Connect one 12 V battery and turn signal lights as indi-
cated in the figure, and count how may times the lights
flash for one minute.
Turn Signal Relay [A]
Turn Signal Lights [B]
12 V Battery [C]
If the lights do not flash as specified, replace the turn sig-
nal relay.

Tail/Brake Light (LED) Removal
Remove:
Seats (see Frame chapter)
Upper Seat C over (see Frame chapter)
Disconnect the tail/brake light (LED) connector [A] and
rear turn signal connectors [B].
Open the clamp [C].
