Fuel Tank
Fuel Tank Remova l
WARNING
Gasoline is extremely flammable and can be ex-
plosive under certain conditions. Always stop the
engine and do not smoke. Make sure the area is
well-ventilated and free from any source of flame
or sparks; this includes any appliance with a pilot
light.
Remove:
Radiator Shrouds
Seat
Turn the fuel tap to the OFF position.
Pull the fuel hose off the fuel tap.
Remove the fuel tank mounting bolt [A] and band [B].
Remove the fuel tank [C].
Drain the fuel tank.
Fuel Tank Installation
Check the rubber damper [A] on the frame.
If the damper is damaged or deteriorated, replace it.
Install the rubber damper [A] noting its installing direction
as shown.
Be sure the fuel hose is clamped to the fuel tap to prevent
leaks.
Insert the fuel tank breather hose outlet end into the num-
ber plate hole.
Fuel Tap Removal
Remove the fuel tank and drain it.
Remove the mounting bolts [A] and take out the fuel tap
[B].
Fuel Tap Installation
Be sure the O-ring is in good condition to prevent leaks.
Be sure to clamp the fuel hose to the tap to prevent leaks.
