Kawasaki 2008 TERYXTM Offroad Vehicle User Manual

There’s one simple reason why the Teryx
750 4x4 instantly became the benchmark of the recreation utility vehicle segment: Everything.
Generating huge amounts of engine torque, the robust 90º V-Twin engine powers through a continuously variable transmission, an electrically
selectable 2WD/4WD system and Variable Front Differential Control to provide both the power and traction to go just about anywhere. Its rugged,
large diameter tubular steel chassis boasts a wide track for superb stability, and the double-wishbone front and rear suspension systems
4 The Teryx features the first V-Twin engine in the class. With 749cc and 4 valves
per cylinder, the proven engine pumps out serious performance and torque for the
ultimate RUV experience.
One of the main advantages of the 90-degree V-Twin design, besides the power, is the perfect
primary balance so all that power is tamed for smooth operation and greater comfort.
TERYX 750 4X4: PERFORMANCE ENGINEERED
(with remote piggyback rear gas shocks) are calibrated to provide maximum grip, even during cornering. And when the going gets rocky, more
than 11.2 inches of ground clearance and steel engine guards help the Teryx 750 4x4 get through. Maybe best of all, though, along with offering
superb utility from its 500-lb. cargo capacity and 1,300-lb. towing capability, the Teryx 750 4x4 is designed to fit in the back of full-size pickup
trucks. Powerful engineering, indeed. Welcome to the new breed of RUV. From Kawasaki.
2 The independent double-wishbone rear suspension includes
strong, preload-adjustable steel coil springs and sophisticated
gas-charged shocks with piggyback reservoirs for excellent
performance over rough terrain. Wheel travel is 7.2 inches while
ground clearance is a massive 11.3 inches.
Independent A-arm front suspension with gas-charged shocks plus
rack-and-pinion steering provide comfort and control over rough terrain.
Wheel travel is a healthy 7.5 inches.
1 The styling of the Teryx 750 is enhanced by the
bright headlights and sculpted front hood design.
A thick tubular bumper helps protect the front end.
Beefy 26-inch Maxxis off-road tires, customized for the
Teryx, provide exceptional traction and control.
The ergonomically designed bucket seats are roomy and
comfortable and have 3-point passenger restraints.
All the Kawasaki Teryx 750 RUVs feature Roll-Over
Protective Structures (ROPS). The cab frame meets ROPS
requirements under SAE specifi cations for added safety.
3 Kawasaki’s exclusive sealed oil bath rear braking system features a hydraulically
controlled, trouble-free system for class-leading braking performance. Dual
200mm hydraulic front disc brakes feature massive 27mm twin-piston calipers.
The speed-sensitive Kawasaki Engine Brake Control system uses engine compression to
help slow the vehicle whether you’re in 2WD or 4WD.
The Teryx’s chassis and overall width delivers an optimum compromise between
narrow, nimble handling and a wider stance for stability and traction. Plus the driver’s
compartment and bucket seating for two are extremely spacious and comfortable.
