INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
®
PLEASE study these instructions carefully before beginning this installation. Most installations can be accomplished with common tools
and procedures. However, you should be familiar with and comfortable working on your vehicle. If you do not feel comfortable performing
this installation, it is recommended to have the installation completed by a qualified mechanic. If you have any questions, please call our

.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation
will void your warranty and may result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
DESCRIPTION: This fuel filter is designed to be used with standard carbureted fuel systems. It can be used in-line with OEM type filters
sometimes incorporated in stock systems. It is to be used with fuel systems tha
t DO NOT exceed 8 PSI. The filter element should be
replaced when it becomes dirty (use Edelbrock replacement element #1927). The filter has an anti-drain-back valve and must be
installed with the drain back valve facing toward the inlet (“IN”) side of the filter assembly
(See Figure 1)
. Filter is compatible with
alcohol fuel.
NOTE: The filter has provisions for both 5/16” and 3/8” fuel hose. Make sure the fuel hose has freshly clean cut ends when securing
the hose to the filter. For maximum safety, use only flat screw type hose clamps (supplied) for this installation. Please note the filter
has a particular flow direction (See Figure 1).
CAUTION: Be sure to coat the threads of the filter cap with pipe sealant or anti-seize compound before assembly.
IMPORTANT: After installation, start engine and check all fuel lines, fittings, and the filter for possible leaks. Correct any leaks before
operating the vehicle. Tighten the filter cap enough to make contact with the filter body. This will ensure proper seating of the o-
ring (See Figure 1).
